MEMORIES
SEA OF LOVE
My
wife Jill and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding
anniversary by taking a cruise. The best memory of our time at sea
was one that truly captures the spirit of a Quiet Night.
Our
ship was leaving the Port of Miami about sunset and we decided we
would go up on the top most deck to watch our departure. Our
plans were to take in the Miami skyline as we departed and then get
into the action that only a cruise ship can afford. But as we
stood leaning against the rail and holding each other close we both
realized that what was most special in our lives and in the moment
was the bond between us. After dinner we went back to the same
location and in the starlight and sea air we found ourselves alone
with each other and the thoughts that only those in love can share.
We lost track of time as we shared stray thoughts and memories and
we spent moments simply enjoying our time together. We have
treasured that quiet night and will continue to remember one very
special quiet night…. Stan from Vermont.
